The High-Performance Computing Group provides state-of-the-art supercomputing and data services for planetary systems modeling research, serving a user community based at NASA centers and laboratories and universities across the country and internationally.
The High-Performance Computing Group leverages high-performance computing experts in industry, universities, and other government agencies to continually enhance its facilities, resources, and services to meet users’ ever-escalating computing needs.
The supercomputing resources, petabytes of storage, and related services allow researchers to access the enormous volume of data generated by atmosphere, ocean, land, and ice models running on the facility’s supercomputers. Users utilize supported data analysis and visualization tools to interpret modeling data. To meet today’s evolving need for AI/ML, a growing compute environment specifically designed to provide the tools and resources to address this new research paradigm is now available.

HEC Program
The NASA High-End Computing (HEC) Program includes both the NASA Advanced Supercomputing (NAS) Facility at NASA Ames Research Center and the NCCS at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. While NAS serves the broad spectrum of NASA customers, NCCS focuses on NASA’s science community.
Leadership

The NCCS is led by a team of computer scientists and technical specialists.

Internships
The NCCS specializes in computer sicence, high performance computing, machine learning, data analytics, and other related fields.
